Makes 15 - 18 Potato pinwheels
Ingredients
For the potato mixture
Potato - 3
Red chilly powder - 2 teaspoon
Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Chat masala powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - to taste
For the dough
All purpose flour - 1 cup
Salt - to taste
baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Water - for kneading
Oil - for deep frying
Method
1. Boil and mash the potato well.
2. Mix the red chili powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, chat masala powder and salt to the mashed potato well.
3. To make the dough, mix the all purpose flour, baking powder, salt and required water for kneading into a smooth dough.
4. Take small portions of the dough, roll it to a disc, spread the potato mixture then roll it ( like jam rolls) and cut it to smaller discs.
5. Deep fry these small discs in hot oil.
Serve warm with mint chutney
